AT&T Introduces Content Delivery Network
Dallas - Jun 22, 2011 - AT&T has launched the AT&T Content Delivery Network, a new cloud-based service. Initially the service is being offered to AT&T's customers on a limited basis, but it is expected to be generally available by the end of September. The service will compete with other content delivery networks such as Akamai and Limelight Networks.
"More and more businesses are relying on video, pictures and animation to get consumers excited about their products and services," said Sam Farraj, assistant vice president of AT&T Digital Media Solutions, AT&T Business Solutions. "Our CDN technology not only delivers videos and other attention grabbers at lightning-like speed, but it delivers them efficiently and at low cost."
