Arbitron Reporting Metrics for HD Radio, AM/FM/HD Streams
Columbia, MD - Mar 11, 2013 - Arbitron has introduced a new feature in its Radar 116 March 2013 report: metrics for HD Radio multicasts and AM/FM/HD streaming stations. The data indicates that radio is using these new technologies to reach more listeners. The report states that HD Radio multicasts reached nearly 3.6 million listeners aged 12 years and older, and streams of AM/FM/HD stations reached 5.4 million listeners 12 years and older. Adults 18 to 49 make up the majority of the streaming audience, with more than 3.5 million connecting to AM/FM/HD stations in an average week.
The same report says that 242.8 Million listeners are reached by radio in an average week.
