McLean, VA - Mar 26, 2013 - The Alliance for Women in Media (AWM) will present "The Women's Room" for the first time at the 2013 NAB Show on April 8, 2013. The event is limited to 200 registrants who will be served breakfast, have a professional headshot taken, receive feedback on their social media profile, and make connections with fellow women in media.
The event host committee includes Caroline Beasley, EVP and CFO, Beasley Broadcast Group; Michelle Duke, vice president, NAB Education Foundation; Sarah Foss, media consultant; Kay Olin, president, Local Focus Radio; and Christine Travaglini, president, Christal Radio (Katz Radio Group).
The Women's Room attendees can interact and engage with seasoned, top women professionals in the world of broadcast media, as well as connect with other women media professionals, creating a community of like-minded people within a very large, busy conference environment. They will have access to the event-participant-only LinkedIn group that will be created pre-event and maintained for at least 12 months post-event. Attendees can update their professional headshot (photographers and backdrop will be set up on-site - limited to the first 50 who sign up on-site). Attendees will also gain tips on how to better position their social media profile from noted social media, marketing and media company HR experts and executives with hiring power (limited to the first 100 who sign up on-site).
Register for the event at the AWM website.
