NABEF Radio Show Program: Effective Networking Strategies for Career-Building
Washington - Sep 6, 2011 -The NAB Education Foundation (NABEF) will host a Career Networking Event at the 2011 Radio Show on Sept. 16. Recruiters in attendance will include Clear Channel, the Star Radio Group, American Urban Radio Networks (AURN) and other radio companies.
The event kicks off with brief sessions on implementing effective networking techniques presented by the Media Staffing Network. Job seekers will learn proper networking etiquette as well as how to build a personal profile and network. The remainder of the event will provide attendees with opportunities to network with recruiters and learn more about current opportunities in the radio industry.
The Radio Show's Career Networking Event is part of NABEF's objective to provide continuing education for broadcasters at every career level including entry-level and job seekers. The NABEF leadership and development programs continue to focus on increased diversity in broadcasting and celebrate broadcasters' community service efforts.
This is a free event open to anyone interested in radio, but space is limited. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP online early and bring business cards and resumes to pass along to recruiters.
