Ad Agency Execs Announced for 2012 Radio Show Advertiser Luncheon
Washington, DC, New York - Aug 17, 2012 - The Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) and the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) announced speakers for the 2012 Radio Show Advertiser Luncheon. The event will be held on Sept. 19 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas.
Two prominent advertising agency CEOs, Bill Koenigsberg, president, CEO and founder of Horizon Media, and Andrew Essex, CEO of Droga5, will discuss the expanding array of media options for advertisers and radio's role in enabling marketers to connect with consumers. The two executives collectively represent many of the top 100 advertisers in the U.S.
Koenigsberg founded Horizon Media in 1989 and grew it into the world's largest independent media agency. The agency currently has $3.8 billion in billings representing clients, including Geico, Capital One, United Airlines, A&E Networks, Kraft Foods and Weight Watchers. He is currently chairman of the Media Policy Board and director-at-large of the 4A's Board of Directors and also serves on the Board of the International Radio and Television Society.
Essex is the CEO of Droga5, a creative and strategic agency whose diverse clients include Puma, Kraft Foods, Coca-Cola, Prudential, Hennessy, Amstel Light, Newcastle Brown Ale, Qantas and The New Museum of Contemporary Art. The agency is known for innovative social initiatives including UNICEF's Tap Project, The Great Schlep for the Obama campaign and The Million Project for the New York City Department of Education. Before co-founding Droga5 in 2006, Essex, an award-winning journalist, was the founding editor-in-chief of Absolute magazine.
