2010 Radio Show Updates Sessions

Washington - Jun 25, 2010 - The 2010 Radio Show, jointly produced by the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) and the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), will feature a session lineup examining issues and innovations affecting today's radio business. This year's Radio Show will also feature an integrated Exhibitor Marketplace. The convention will be held Sept. 29 - Oct. 1, 2010, at the Grand Hyatt Washington hotel in Washington, DC.

The Ask the Experts sessions have been arranged by the NAB Science and Technology department for radio engineers and others interested in radio technology. The updated schedule of presenters follows:

Wednesday ,Sept. 29
10 a.m. - Noon: Building a Radio Station
Proper planning and an eye to the future will save time and money on office, studio and transmitter projects. Today's radio facilities should be streamlined, flexible with IP audio and environmentally friendly. Architects, engineers, planners and other experts will offer their experience and knowledge to answer questions about property research, budgeting, contracting and moving into your new or upgraded facilities.

The NRSC is a cooperative effort by the NAB and the CEA. The objectives and goals of NRSC committees are to develop and foster technical standards for the betterment of radio broadcasting.

10:30 a.m. - Noon: Technical/Regulatory/Legal/FCC
A team of expert FCC staff, communications attorneys, engineers and broadcast consultants will answer questions on many topics and provide a briefing on Federal compliance matters.

The panelists will offer advice and guidance on what software is best, the potential pitfalls of do-it-yourself modeling and what should be known to comply with FCC requirements.
