San Francisco - Sep 23, 2010 - The 129th AES Convention Committee Product Design Track Chair Bob Moses has assembled nearly two dozen workshops, tutorials and master classes into the first dedicated Product Design Track during the convention Nov. 4-7 in San Francisco.

A product design consultant and That Corporation IC program manager, Moses serves on the AES Board of Governors and is a former president. Moses says he received an abundance of timely workshop, tutorial and master class proposals, which have been put into a program with more than 20 events focused on audio product development.

Topics in the design track include:

  • Grounding and Shielding - Circuits and Interference (master class)
  • iPhone Sound Design - Lessons Learned (tutorial)
  • AES 42 and Digital Microphones (workshop)
  • DSP - Why So Hard? (tutorial)
  • Licensing 3rd Party Technology, How to Make it Work for You (workshop)
  • Designing Microphone Preamplifiers (tutorial)
  • An Overview of Audio System Grounding and Interfacing (tutorial)

Additional Product Design Track presentations include:

  • IEEE 802.1 Audio/Video Bridging (AVB) (workshop)
  • The Product Designers' Ball

A preliminary calendar of events including abstracts of the above events is posted at www.aes.org/events/129/calendar/calendar.cfm.
