Comrex ARC for Android Now Available
Devens, MA - May 21, 2010 - Unveiled at the 2010 NAB Show, the Comrex Access Reporter Codec (ARC) for the Android 2.1 phone -- which received a Radio magazine Pick Hit Award at the 2010 NAB Show -- is now available. Download the app by clicking on the Android Market icon on a Nexus One, Droid or Incredible Android 2.1 phone and search for "ARC."
The app can also be downloaded using the Android barcode scanner. Scan the code below.
The app is free. It connects to a Comrex Access or BRIC-Link IP codec, both of which need to be configured to work with the Android app. Details are noted in the ARC manual, which is posted online at www.comrex.com/arc.
Access and BRIC-Link codecs must be upgraded to firmware 2.7.1 p5 to work with ARC. Details on the firmware upgrade are posted at www.comrex.com/updates.
Comrex notes that support for ARC will be limited to e-mail support only because it is a free product. Comrex will update the list of compatible Android 2.1 phones as they are tested.
