Also, we'll also highlight profile our Pick Hit Award winners for best new products exhibited at NAB in this June issue as well. Plus, it's a great lead-in to the summer season in the radio industry.
Insure that you're visible in the most comprehensive overview of the NAB Show - the June issue of Radio magazine.
The convention is over, but we're still working on it. We wrap up the convention with the latest new product info and our Pick Hit Awards, which recognize the top 20 new products from the convention.
Facility Showcase: CKUA
CKUA's move in 2012 was a record-breaker. The public broadcaster moved from its century-old building that it occupied since 1955 to its new address at the Alberta Hotel along with its massive music library of 60,000 CDs, 72,000 LPs and 11,000 78s - most of them still intact. The station left behind vintage radio technology, and the province's oldest working boilers, and joined the connected world of better workflow with new WheatNet-IP AoIP technology and digital consoles.
Managing Technology: Keep the Copper Safe
Despite the dangers, copper is still a target of thieves looking for what they think will be easy money. The replacement value of the metal is only a small part of the total cost of replacement. We look at ways to discourage it being taken in the first place.
The Rode iXy and iZoptope Insight are put to the test.
Side by Side: Headphones
It's the one piece of personal equipment every announcer should own. We'll compare several popular models and a few new ideas to share with the announcing staff.
