Radio magazine leads the industry in visibility, circulation and Return On Investment.

Let me explain...

According to the most recent sworn publishers' circulation statements published in October 2007 for magazines and newspapers in the radio industry, Radio magazine offers you more circulation than any newspaper or magazine by more than 4,300 subscribers! Plus, according to our most recent 2007 market research by Paramount Research, almost 20% of Radio magazine subscribers EXCLUSIVELY read Radio magazine-not any other newspaper or magazine in the industry. And when it comes to making a purchasing decision, at least half of our readers refer to Radio magazine before they buy equipment, products or services for their station. And 61% of our reader prefer Radio magazine for advertiser information. Plus, 91% of Radio magazine subscribers have taken action because of seeing an ad in our publication.

These are strong statistics! So let's talk soon about the needs of your company. Then, let me assemble a marketing strategy that addresses your needs and helps drive sales and revenue for you in our industry.

Editorial Highlights

Insight to IBOC supplement
The concept of transmitting an HD Radio with elevated digital sidebands was presented earlier this year. We look at the implications of this change for stations already transmitting an IBOC signal and for those stations still planning to install equipment.

The quarterly supplement will also investigate methods of measuring RF power with digital transmissions.

Trends in Technology: Streaming Audio: How to
It's not a question of should a station stream, it's how the station should stream. Hosting decisions, coding choices and adding program-associated data are all part of the process in establishing the online presence. Doug Irwin looks at these issues and more to help stations determine their best approach to online delivery.

Facility Showcase:
Performance Racing Network

The broadcast voice of the Lowes Motor Speedway, Performance Racing Network (PRN) upgraded its facility with a networked audio system that can interface via fiber to the various race tracks, which simplified the communication between the studio and the racing events.

Field Reports
The Zoom H2 recorder is taken out on the road, and the ATI ADAC-2 is installed at WHTZ/WWPR/WKTU New York.

Managing Technology: Inside IPv6
Internet Protocol Version 6 will replace IPv4, which is now nearly 20 years old. IPv6 will mainly address the problem of the shortage of addresses in IPv4, but there are other advantages, too. Kevin McNamara explains.
